  Great product for the money

  I was very satisfied with this product. I've had it for a few months now, and I use it regularly. It is cheap in price, but it functions just the same as some of the more expensive circular balance boards. It is simple, takes little space, and easy to use. It's big enough for both feet to fit on easily.The only thing that I have to point out is that on Amazon's product description, it says the board supports 300lbs, but I seem to recall that it said on the box (which I have lost) that it only supports 250. I may have remembered wrong, but that seems to be the case.Overall, this is a nice, quality product for improving your balance and musculature of your legs and core, therefore rendering it five stars from me. Even if you aren't using it for fitness, it's a great item to have laying around just for fun.   I like it!

  I really worried that this plastic disk would snap under my rather considerable weight but it has done just fine. There were a few scary creaks at first, but careful inspection showed no cracks--it was just new board and the creaks went away. It's a great balance board, my only complaint is the traction bumps require that I wear shoes while using this. I understand the need for traction, but I wish it were comfortable to use barefoot. The traction bumps are really big.Because of the way it's designed I think it makes a great beginner as well as intermediate board. I think even an advanced balance board user wouldn't be unhappy with this board--the "ball" underneath is designed in such a way as to be friendly to all user levels in my opinion.I have found that it's easier to use on our area rug, when I want the exercise to be more difficult, moving it to the hardwood does the job.   I bought this product to help with a problem I have with my feet. It is durable - I weigh over 220 lbs and supports my weight well. It is good for both bslance and strengthening the intrinsic muscles of the feet.   I am IMPRESSED......

  I changed my review from a 1 to a 5...here's why I am impressed. First, I had a Tanita scale; it told me my weight, body fat, water weight, bone weight, if my toe nails needed to be cut, etc. However, I could not read the display and as executive/non-athlete I did not need all this information. When that scale died, I went looking for a good solid simple scale. I liked the way this scale looked and the reviews on Amazon were good. Plus, the price was great. I got it right away, and it was great. Looked good, easy to read, and I liked the 0.2 denominations. However, unfortunately it stopped working after two weeks. I went to return it on Amazon and posted a disappointing review. Then the most amazing thing happened...this really happened...about an hour after I posted my review, I was contacted by the company.   Very accurate, but hard to turn on

  The scale is very accurate. I stepped on and off multiple times, and always got the same number. Then I put on a light jacket, stepped on again, and it was up .6 pounds. Perfect! However, it is somewhat tricky turning the scale on. They say you're supposed to "tap" it with your foot to activate it, but nothing happens when I tap. The only thing that seems to work for me is if I slide my foot underneath the scale and lift it up slightly. This seems to turn it on, but it's a somewhat awkward maneuver. So I take off two stars for the difficulty in turning it on.UPDATE (3/25/2010) since writing my previous review, EatSmart has updated their product and gotten rid of the need to tap on. They sent me a new version, and it really does work much better. It seems just as accurate, though there is a .2 pound difference between the old scale and the new (which really isn't too bad).   Great value in a bathroom scale!

  When I finally decided to replace the old analog scale that I have had for the last decade I thought it was going to be an expensive and borderline painful process. After doing a little research, I purchased the EatSmart scale primarily because the large display was appealing (I have a very small apartment bathroom with one small overhead light) and the price seemed right.I have been nothing but thrilled with this purchase so far. The large screen allows for me to easily read the scale every time (even after I get out of the shower and the bathroom is fogged up). With my old analog I was always hunching over to figure out what major weights the dial was between. It also is very accurate (I weighed myself multiple times the first few times to test this) and has none of the huge weight fluctuations reported in the reviews of some of Amazon's other scales.   Not an accurate photo

  I'm a physical therapist and use these discs with patients. I prefer the ones, like the J/Fit and the Harbinger, that have a relatively flat top and bottom, with a wide vertical rim joining the two... not the "flying saucer" style where a concave top and bottom meet at a narrower rim.The photo here shows a disc with a wide, flat rim with the name brand printed on it. The actual disc that arrived is more of the "flying saucer" shape with a seam around the perimeter - no flat surface to print on. If I'd known this, I would have foregone the admittedly good price and paid a few dollars more for a disc that looks like the picture.   Balance Disc

  I own and have sat on a Fitball (large exercise ball) at home for many years now as I surf the 'net at my desk and have fun on Amazon. At work we just went paperless and ...it hurts from the hours of sitting since we no longer have a reason to jump up and sprint to the fax or print things.   Keep looking and spend a little more!

  I wear a size 7 and I can't comfortably get both of my feet on this disc. It's too small. It needs more air but I couldn't figure that out. Barefoot - which is how I do my pilates, balance work, it hurts your feet. I don't recommend this product, in case you hadn't guessed.   So FUNctional

  I ordered 3 sets of these to make "stepping stones", per our physical therapists recommendation. We use them to help my child with his gross motor skills. They have worked wonderfully!I would also like to add that they feel great on your feet (I have to wear socks) otherwise they hurt my tender feet, ha ha. They are a bit smaller than I expected and I must say that the kids are better at walking across all of them than I. You can even turn them upside-down and walk across them, just be cautions as they do "rock" quite a bit, but still very useful and challenging this way. Put them in a straight line for even more of a challenge. My kids like to lay on them to massage their backs.   This seems to be an incredibly accurate little scale. It was bigger than I expected, but that's been a good thing. We learned that My Little Ponies weigh the same as a ball.   I would prefer to write this review after some time has passed, but I want to make sure I get my thoughts out here early on.This is my third kitchen scale. I bake all my own bread at home and good baking requires weighing the ingredients rather than volume measuring.This scale feels very light which made me nervous at first, but I've used it for three weeks now, through a lot of baking over the holidays, and my concerns seem out of line.This scale fits all my needs. Here is what I look for:1. CAPACITY - AT LEAST 10 LB (this has 11 lb, or 5 kg). This is required to be able to tare out a glass bowl which can weigh near 5 lbs empty. 11 lb is still borderline when I'm making bread in a 6 qt kitchenaid bowl, but I just weigh ingredients separately in another bowl if it becomes a problem.2. We didn't use it frequently and every time we did, the batteries were dead.About a day after I submitted the review, Bill from EatSmart Products emailed me indicating he had seen the review and short battery life is not typical of the product (he stated they should last ~1 year). With no prompting from me, he sent out a new scale along with some batteries to replace the ones the original scale consumed.   Looks Cool, Does Nothing

  I ama 60 year old athlete who is willing to try any new gadget that comes along. I tried the Balance Bracelet by using it in the weight room performing balance exercises I have been doing for years. I found absolutely no difference in my performance while wearing the bracelet. One day I thought I was performing an exercise better and looked down and realized I had forgotten to wear the bracelet!   I just got this scale to replace an older digital scale that broke, and I'm very impressed.To weigh yourself, you step on the scale, wait about 3-4 seconds for the scale to stabilize, and look at the reading. The weight is easy to read -- large numerals with a backlight. The only drawback of the backlight is that it will increase battery usage. You have a choice of units -- pounds, kilograms, or stones.The scale itself is very sleek and low profile. It's 11.8 inches (width) x 11.7 inches. Some scales (both digital and analog) make a clunking sound as you step on, but this is totally silent.Like most digital scales, it has to be placed on a hard surface such as tile or wood.Some digital scales have a "fake repeatability." That is, if you weigh yourself, and then hold a small weight and step on again, it gives exactly the same value. This scale doesn't have this undesirable feature.   Could not register a 5 lb weight change - sent it back

  Just bought this scale & am already packing it back up to return to Amazon for a refund.I unpacked it, removed the battery strip, set it to pounds & tried it out as soon as UPS delivered it.The first number showed a 5lb difference from my old scale, but since I could get three different numbers when weighing three times in succession on that scale I assumed it was just that the My Weigh was accurate.Not so much.The next time I got on I was holding a 5lb bag of flour...and it gave me the exact same number as before.I tried this same process using my hand weights, but the My Weigh scale could not read the weight difference accurately.When I added a 3lb weight it showed a difference of 1lb.When I added 6lbs the My Weigh showed a number 4lbs less than the original number.Yes, I had this scale on an even, hard surface.If a scale cannot accurately gauge the difference of adding or... 1/5 Coffee Drinker "Momof2" (MO) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)   Works great but must be on a hard service

  We really like this scale. One of the factors that we wanted is a back lit LCD display. Not only is it well back lit but the numbers are easy for me to read even without my glasses. I agree with the other reviews I've read on the scale's functionality, accuracy, etc. Our only complaint is that our previous scales would work in our carpeted bathroom. The old scale had a hard clear plastic board between the scale and the carpet. The new scale would not function with even the minor softness of the set up.
