truck service mechanic -- excellent wrench

I work for a large truck leasing company, servicing its rental fleet. I now use my locking wrench on every preventative maintenance service. It is fantastic at loosening 4-sided drain plugs from differentials, crank cases, and transmissions. It hangs on and does not slip off. My only gripe is that it does not come in a larger size. 10 inch is a good size for around the house; but on these trucks I often find myself hammering on the wrench handle to get plugs loose. I've used it on over 100 trucks so far, and it has held up great. 5/5 samson (pa) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stanley 85-610 10-Inch Long MaxGrip Locking Adjustable Wrench (Tools & Home Improvement) I work for a large truck leasing company, servicing its rental fleet. Non-marring plumbing

This is a cross between a vice-grip and a crescent wrench. This is great for bath/kitchen plumbing when you need to remove stubborn fixtures and do not want to embed the channel lock/pipe wrench teeth into the chrome fixture and leave rough teeth marks on the smooth surface. The wrench locks down without marring the polished finish and it will not fall off if your hands are slippery wet. I also would like to see this tool in a 12" version. 5/5 Mr. Geweke (Tucson Az US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Best adjustable wrench

This is the best adjustable wrench I have ever used. We carry adjustable wrenches in all of our tractors and trucks(11) and full toolboxes in the pickups, but this is the tool we all reach for. It offers all the advantages of other adjustable wrenches, such as always having the right size whether metric or emglish. However, it never slips. Simply lock the handle and turn. I use it instead of open and box end on rounded and rusty bolts because it WILL NOT SLIP. No more busted knuckels and cutting bolts because all the corners are rounded off. If you have 2 sides left on a nut, this wrench will work. My only complaint is that they don't offer it in 12" and 15" versions. 5/5 Mark Willis "Farmsome" (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews, November 18, 2004

    WolfSong - JH Sked

I have to admit, for some reason I thought this was urban fantasy when I bought it, and I don't know if I would have picked it up if I'd realised it leaned more towards traditional fantasy. That would have been an awful shame, as I'd have missed out on a great read!In the world of the Crescent, hawks and werewolves live in an uneasy balance with humans. When tragedy strikes the village of Five Hands, the future of this tenuous peace is threatened by civil war, politics, and good-old-fashioned murder.Sked has created a world that is very different from the typical fantasy fair, populating it with down-to-earth, gritty characters and touches of magic and folklore that are believable and fascinating. Whilst at first I did have trouble keeping all the hawks straight, by about halfway in, they all felt like old friends. And as a massive werewolf fangirl, I loved Sked's take on her wolves and their culture, which was a sharp contrast to that of the mysterious... 4/5 Naomi Clark "Violet Corona" (UK) - See all my reviews, April 15, 2011

Solid offering from a first time author

WolfSong is a tale about an area called the Crescent. The primary three races are the hawk, werewolves, and humans (there are also fey, but in this book they play a smaller role). The story for the most part follows around a squad of hawks as they hunt down a rogue werewolf that led to the deaths of two of their own. There is also a young werewolf man who is with the squad helping to track down the fugitive. This is actually a pretty decent sized book especially for .99 and it only took me two days to finish. The story is very solid and the characters are, for the most part, very well developed. The only real issue I had was there were a few times that a character was introduced with very little introduction and I will admit to some confusion trying to remember if I should know that name or if it was someone new. I am really hoping that in the next book we get a little more background into the world and the interactions between the races.I for one will be sure... 4/5 Scott (Columbus, OH) - See all my reviews This review is from: WolfSong (Tales from the Crescent) (Kindle Edition) WolfSong is a tale about an area called the Crescent. Let the adventure begin

Having read the first draft of the book, I can say the story has improved. The characters are well written. I almost hated it to end but at the same time I couldn't wait to see what happened. There are some nice twists towards the end which will have you demanding the next book (not that she would give me a peek at even the initial draft). 4/5 Sjm Kelly "magicdarcy" (London, UK) - See all my reviews, March 12, 2011

    Unique plot, charming hero

Family Ties is one of the most unique romance novels I've read, with a fascinating, complicated hero, and a very real heroine. Both of these characters are dedicated to doing the right thing, even though they might disagree on what that is. The children in this story come across as real children, not precocious, not brilliant just children with understandable issues under complicated circumstances. The author's voice is energetic and easy to read, with just the right amount of humor and sadness. It's refreshing to read a romance where the characters are attracted to each other in so many other dimensions other than physical. I highly recommend this book and predict a long and successful career for the author. 4/5 AD4 - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Very well written!

I have been stopping by Ms Behiel's blog for awhile now because her posts about different personalities and family dynamics are very interesting. Until yesterday though, I hadn't realized she'd written a book. So I checked it out...and decided it would be the perfect way for me to relax this weekend. It didn't work out quite the way I planned because every time I turned around I was picking the Kindle back up to read some more. And now I have to find something else to do for Sunday.Family Ties is a romance novel...plus so much more. Andie Bowen, foster mother to four emotionally damaged children, buys a house and moves next door to Gray Mills, who also happens to have some issues going on. Throw in the adorable kids, a cranky neighbor, danger, a couple of mysteries, and you have the perfect combination to keep you guessing for a few hours.Gray Mills hass, in my opinion, all of the qualities that make for a perfect hero in a romance novel. Strong,... 5/5 Kristy K. James (Michigan) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great book!

I loved this book! It was real, and full of passion! The hero had issues, he was complicated, but that didn't detract from his character, from his ability to see right from wrong. The heroin was strong and true to herself as well as to her kids and to the things she wants from life. The two oozed chemistry on every page! I highly recommend this book. 5/5 Sabrina Redl - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Family Ties (Sunset Crescent) (Kindle Edition) I loved this book! Great piece of work

First off I have to say this work is a great introductory piece for "Thieves at Heart." I would have loved to have seen this as the first actual chapter for the book lol but that is just me being a little greedy for more I can see that your literary skills are improving with each edit. Again your writing sucked me in i cant wait for "Self Made Scoundrel" to be finished. Keep up the amazing work you have a dedicated fan in me you keep them coming and I will continue to follow your series!!!!!-JUSTIN 5/5 John - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Interesting, but hard to follow

I have never read the sequel, Thieves at Heart, but after reading this prequel short story I think I will. The story itself is compact, and at times flows awkwardly, but it is never so much as to cause the reader to become lost. Another run of editing could solve most of the awkward moments and the handful of typos, but that isn't enough to detract from the review. The story followed Tavera, a young half elf girl, from her selling on The Blocks through what I presume to be the near opening of Thieves at Heart. The story has a very Oliver Twist feel to it, or at least a very Victorian-orphan-poor kid feel. It follows her as she is sold into labor under and goes through all the harshness one would expect from being a near slave. Little Girl Lost goes from sour to sweet to sour again in a matter of paragraphs, and when you finish you'll want to continue the story. 4/5 Matthew Musser - See all my reviews, April 17, 2012

    Great Addition to the Series

As a fan of "Thieves at Heart" and especially of the character Tavera I found "Little Girl Lost" to be a fascinating look not only into her past, but expanding the culture and world of The Valley of Ten Crescents. 5/5 Nathan P. - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
