  I purchased this monitor because I wanted a 22 inch monitor and I didn't want to spend more than $200.Initial impressions.This thing is light in weight. Very light. I was able to hold the monitor in one hand/arm and use my other hand to set the base and plug in the power and dvi cable without a much strain. The base is made of plastic and feels cheap. That was my first reaction, when I unwrapped the base. Once I had it on the monitor though it did it's job. This combination though makes the monitor easily wobble if it is not sitting on a sturdy desk/table, keep that in mind. (My desk is very sturdy, so this wasn't an issue.)   I purchased three of these for a friend who makes jewelry to sell at small events and gatherings. They were exactly the right height to display her longer necklaces and still left room to show off some shorter designs as well.I love that they are easily stored for travel to the shows. The only negative is that they collapse perhaps too easily and require a bit of anchoring when adding jewelry.Overall, I rate them well suited for her needs and not expensive.   A great device WHEN you consider price and function, with a few flaws

  The first and most important thing that should be said about the Kindle Fire is that this is not an "iPad-killer." It is not designed to be. I have seen so many articles and comments comparing this to the iPad, and surveys where people are asked if they will be buying a Kindle Fire over an iPad this Christmas. If you are expecting an iPad, or even a tablet, you will be disappointed. The main purpose of this device is to deliver Amazon content to you more effectively. It is designed for consumption, not creation. That is the reason it is so cheap and why Amazon is taking a loss on it. They are hoping to make up for that loss through sales of videos, music, books, and apps through Amazon's Web Services. You can also use it to view your own movies and media, but will find that it is more limited in that way than a regular tablet.   I picked mine up today at Best Buy. At home I plugged it in and set up the WIFI and my Amazon account and it immediately told me that an update was downloading. After about 10 to 12 minutes it rebooted and started working. I own an iPhone, iPad 2, HP Touchpad and a Kindle Keyboard version. This device compares with the Ipad.   I want to love it, I really do. But I can't.

  As a long-time Kindle fan I was eager to get my hands on a Fire. For the most part I've found that it does what I wanted it to, which is be the one device I can take with me anywhere. There are some great features; the reader app is excellent (though not without flaws), the app store experience is terrific, videos are fantastic, and the device is quick and for the most part dead-simple to use, all thanks to the services Amazon provides. And of course the extras that come with Prime membership really make it a real value - I won't be cancelling my Netflix streaming account just yet (watching Netflix on the Fire works very well) but I imagine within a year Amazon's free streaming video catalog will be just as good as Netflix. The free "lending library" book every month really is the icing on the cake though, and makes Prime membership a no-brainer.   These easels are very attractive and are priced right. It is exactly as described. However, I had to reinforce the back. They would be OK in store with a permanent display. I go to trade shows so have to move my displays. After a few moves, the backing started to tear from the front. This was easily fixed with tape, glue and clamps.   I am surprised that nobody has mentioned this. My situation is that I am away from home randomly for a few days at a time. So I wanted a feeder that I could turn on when I leave, and off when I am back. I prefer feeding the cats myself when I am home, more accurate portion sizing and also wet food at times. Either way, once you turn the unit off, it loses all information. Time, feeding times and portion size. I am by no means a newbie to technology and can program even a radio scanner from Radio Shack (that means something if you know what I am talking about), but this feeder is pretty tough to program. So this is my point - every time I turn this feeder back on, I have to reprogram the time, the feeding schedule and the portion size. I guess if I do this often enough, I will learn the programming steps, but it's a huge hassle.   cheap construction, tricky to program, gets the job done

  Customer Video Review Length:: 1:49 MinsI thought I would post a video to show how the feeder works for folks who were curious. It has two motors: one to rotate the scoop that moves food from the main food bin to the food dish, and another to vibrate the food supply, probably to help food bits flow smoothly and prevent jamming. As previous reviewers have said, it's loud when it deposits food... that's due to the vibrating motor. You can set the amount of food that is released each time, by setting how many times the scoop deposits food. In this video, you can see that it was programmed to release two scoops, with each scoop being around 1/4 cup of food.Note that this video does not demonstrate the audio clip recording/playback while feeding.   My daughter bought the Petmate LeBistro feeder at the pet store for her cat, and the cat defeated it the first day ... learned how to stick his paw up the chute and dispense as much food as he wanted. She was also concerned that the cat might be able to tip the whole feeder over or get the lid off which wasn't that securely attached. So the LeBistro went back to the pet store.I found this AF-100 electronic feeder at Amazon sold by TopSeller100 for the same price my daughter paid for the LeBistro. I ordered it for my cat to see if it would work any better than the LeBistro. My cat has been using for it a month now and it works perfectly. It is larger, heavier and more stable than the LeBistro. My 14 pound cat would not be able to tip it over. The barrel feeding mechanism closes off at the chute and it is not possible for the cat to dispense extra food. The lid has a positive locking latch that will not come off.   Having been a little overwhelmed by the choices between all the new Kindles and which one to get, I ordered this new basic $79 Kindle first to take for a spin. So far, I like what I see. Usually I use a device for a while before reviewing it. In this case, I felt it was important to do a quick review right away because if it can help you in your purchasing decision, so much the better.If you are a little perplexed with all the various Kindle models and are wondering if this Is the Kindle for you, here are a few questions for you to consider...1. Do you need text to speech capability or have the desire to listen to mp3's on your Kindle? If you can live without that, then proceed. This Kindle does not have a speaker thus is not capable of text to speech or playing sounds of any kind including mp3's.2. Is color important to you? This is not a color Kindle, it is gray-scale.
